Tax dispute resolution in Tanzania follows a step by step administrative cum quasi judicial and eventually a judicial process. The ultimate goal being to resolve most cases before they reach the Court of Appeal. The Article presents an audacious comprehensive guide in the pursuit of tax justice tracing from filing a complaint, amicable settlement if the matter is unresolved, objection to Commissioner General where one is dissatisfied, Appeal to TRAB within 30 days if dissatisfied and Appeal to TRAT within 30 days. Further, a parallel track being the office of the Tax Ombudsman is discussed pointing out that the body exists within TRA but operates independently.
