Altaf (Taff) Kara is a senior legal and business executive with over 30 years of experience spanning General Counsel, CEO, and Board-level roles across more than 40 countries. A qualified solicitor and commercially-driven leader, he combines deep legal expertise with hands-on operational and strategic capability making him equally effective in the boardroom and on the ground. Taff has a strong track record in international expansion, M&A, business turnaround, and building legal and compliance functions from the ground up. He has led organisations through complex restructuring, prevented insolvency, and driven significant growth most recently achieving 200% client growth during the international expansion of a European law firm. His career spans private equity, professional services, fleet management, healthcare, and beyond. Known for his approachable leadership style and commitment to equality and inclusion, Taff is a trusted advisor to executives and boards alike. He also actively mentors aspiring leaders through universities and the Help to Grow programme. He is currently based in London where he actively provides business coaching and mentorship programs.
