Tanzania has today presented a largely pro development budget with the key highlights being the projected increase in spending by 5 Trillion .Overall, it is a 49.346Trillion budget representing a rise by 11.2% from the 2023/24 budget .Key areas of spending are debt servicing, salaries of civil servants , local government elections this year, payment of pending bills to contractors and service providers and preparation for next year's elections among other things .
